Jorine van Beek

Mouth Music

Choreography: Stephen Shropshire
Theatre Company: NoordNederlandseDans
Premiere: February 19th 2010

In the various choreographies presented in this performance, the mouth plays an active role. At the request of Shropshire (artistic director NND), they approached the relationship between dance and the musical mouth as surprisingly as possible. They studied our mouth, as an acrobat of our face.

'Costume designer Jorine van Beek dresses the dancers in various costumes. These costumes, however, are all a variation on the basic costume, connecting the choreographies in a subtle way.'
